If you have watched season nine of Lego Ninjago, you probably heard of “The Resistance”. If you never watched season nine, CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK! SPOILERS ARE IN THIS POST!!! 

Anyways, The Resistance is basically a group of fierce elemental masters who team up to fight the evil Lord Garmadon. Some people in The Resistance such as Dareth and Mystake are not really elemental masters but help The Resistance in many ways.

Ever since Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Sensei Wu got sent to The First Realm, Lloyd, Pixal, Nya, and Mystake had to protect Ninjago from the evil Lord Garmadon. They couldn’t do it alone so they formed a resistance in order to defeat Garmadon. They gathered all the elemental masters they were friends with and found a disguised base in Ninjago City to work in. Here are the list of people in The Resistance: Lloyd, Mystake, Skylor, Nya, Dareth, Mr. Pale, Karlof, Master of Speed, Shade, Tox, Nuero, Lloyd’s mother, and Ronin. All these people worked together to defeat Garmadon!

Eventually, Harumi found out about The Resistance’s base and immediately told Garmadon about it so they could plan an ambush. Meanwhile Dareth got his elemental power of “brown” so he needed to go to the bathroom. The bathroom was already occupied so he went outside. To his surprise, Dareth found a bunch of thugs planning an ambush, so he told The Resistance at once. The Resistance started to prepare but they had no time! The attack had already begun…

Thugs were everywhere trying to capture Lloyd because they knew he had lost his elemental power. The members of The Resistance protected Lloyd using their elemental powers so Lloyd could escape with Nya, Dareth, and his mother in a battle tank.

Finally, The Resistance had regrouped and then began talking with each other about forming a plan to attack Garmadon and save Ninjago City. 

The plan was basically to first capture Harumi so that Mystake could shape shift into her. Then Mystake, who shapeshifted into Harumi, would take Skylor (the elemental master of amber) to Garmadon so he would trust Mystake. Skylor would then break free and touch Garmadon so she could take his power using her own power of absorption. Once she had Garmadon’s power, she could control his stone giant and use it against him, thus saving Ninjago City.

Next, The Resistance had to execute the plan. They had already gotten Harumi captured so Mystake could transform into her. At first, Mystake’s voice was a little off but she fixed it over time. Dareth had the job of guarding Harumi in case she escaped while Lloyd protected the base. Then Mystake and Skylor traveled to Garmadon’s tower to accomplish the plan. The other elemental masters accompanied Mystake and Skylor in case they got spotted. 

After a while, Mystake and Skylor had finally made it to the top and the other elemental masters came back to the base. 

Meanwhile in the base, Harumi tricked Dareth by distracting him, and accidentally led him to release her. She quickly tied up Dareth and ran to warn Garmadon about Mystake’s plan. Dareth yelled for Lloyd but it was too late, and Harumi had already made it to Garmadon.

Now there were two Harumis! One fake and the other real! The real Harumi explained to Garmadon how Mystake was disguised as her because she is an Oni, and how if Mystake was the real Harumi then she would have warned Garmadon that Skylor has the power to absorb elemental power. She went on and explained The Resistance’s plan to get Garmadon’s power and control it. Garmadon then realized that Mystake was the fake Harumi and started to attack her! 

But Mystake was a wise person! She shapeshifted into Skylor so Garmadon would run away from her, bumping into the real Skylor who had just taken Garmadon’s power. “Never trust an Oni,” said Mystake.

Finally, the ninja came back to Ninjago City! Lloyd had gotten his elemental power back so he could fight Garmadon! The ninja were back together. They took down Garmadon and his stone giant, making it so there was no need for The Resistance anymore. The elemental masters parted ways and went back to what they were originally doing before Garmadon attacked.

 

In conclusion, The Resistance is a very important and strong group in Ninjago. In my opinion, I think that The Resistance should be in more seasons because they play a really important role in Ninjago by defeating powerful villains.
