Over the next few days, the Overlord becomes the ultimate and most powerful being… With golden armor, golden power, and an entire army, the Overlord really steps up his game! He releases Cyrus Borg from being evil since he serves no purpose anymore. 

Meanwhile in outer space, the ninja have gotten a brilliant idea! If they can’t get out of space because of their broken rocket, they can just make one! They each work together using their elemental powers and spare parts to fully craft a new rocket! Three, two, one, blast off!

The ninja skyrocket in the direction of the Earth. However, Zane doesn’t think he has enough power to power the rocket. *Boom!* The rocket explodes! Thankfully, the ninja manage to create an “elemental shield”, protecting them from burning up. They each enter the Earth safely and land in their vehicles! But unfortunately, the Overlord has already managed to take over the city. Wu, Garmadon, Nya, Pixal, and the ninja group together and form a plan. The ninja drive their vehicles into the city while Nya uses her Samurai X suit to take out the nindroids. *Crash!* The Overlord arrives in his giant form, and with a huge golden mech! 

 

Wu and Garmadon stake out an ancient safehouse temple that can temporarily protect them. The ninja run from the Overlord’s huge spinjitzu, but the Overlord is faster! They approach the temple and the ninja escape! Wu activates the shield, protecting the temple from the Overlord’s wrath. With little time, Cyrus Borg explains how he might have something to defeat the Overlord: a shrinking pill. Wu and Garmadon plan to knock the pill into the Overlord’s mouth using teamwork. 

 

The ninja will distract the Overlord in order to do so. Then at the final moment, the pill will enter the Overlord’s mouth and shrink him! This will allow the ninja to attack the Overlord while he’s small. 

Once they finish discussing the plan, the ninja begin to prepare for the fight. Before leaving, the ninja put on special armor from the Stone Warriors that will guard them in the fight. Fully protected and ready to fight, the ninja run towards the fight of their lives…

The gigantic Overlord has spread his golden web across Ninjago City, and resides on it like a spider! To his surprise, Wu and Garmadon try to throw the shrinking pill into the Overlord’s mouth. However, right before victory, Pythor blocks him and takes it instead! Pythor shrinks, and the Overlord remains a threat! In fury, the Overlord strangles each of the ninja using his golden power. Nya, Borg, and Pixal can only watch in horror. Fortunately, Zane manages to escape! He leaps into the air and lands on the Overlord’s armor! He exerts his elemental power and nindroid power to the maximum amount! The Overlord’s golden power slowly starts to be drained, the ninja are free! But at what cost? Zane’s heart slowly starts to reach critical mass… “Your survival chance, is ZERO!” yells the Overlord.

 

Suddenly, huge blocks of ice start to explode from Zane’s chest! Zane’s elemental power starts to overload his body, and Zane struggles to stay alive. All of a sudden, a hurricane of ice surrounds the city! Zane has a flashback to all the good times he had for one last time–the ninja hide underground to protect themselves from the explosion–*POW!* The ninja come back up… only to find Ninjago City frozen to the depths, and Zane nowhere to be found. Everyone is disheartened about the traumatic turn of events. A funeral is held and a statue is built to remember Zane’s sacrifice. Wu, Garmadon, Nya, Pixal, the ninja, and so many more come to remember The Titanium Ninja…

 

And that’s a wrap on season three! In my opinion, I think Zane is one of the most crucial ninjas in the team. He comes up with the statistics, plans, and overall is just a fun character to see, especially since his elemental power of ice comes in use in many important situations. Overall, Rebooted (Season 3 of ninjago) was one of my favorite seasons. It had a great story and we got introduced to new and important characters like Cyrus Borg, Pixal, Sensei Garmadon, and more. But, my favorite thing about it was the villain: the Overlord! I loved the role he played in this season and how powerful he was.
